Welcome to Accomplice. I’m Amy Nicholson, the Founder of Accomplice.

Working in a large recruitment agency, I kept hearing the same thing from business owners: that traditional recruitment felt too expensive, too transactional, and too disconnected from what small and growing businesses really needed.

In networking groups and conversations with SME owners, a clear gap kept emerging. People wanted professional recruitment support, but not the price tag, pressure, or rigid models that came with it.

So, I created Accomplice to offer something different: recruitment that’s flexible, transparent, and grounded in real partnership.

My approach is simple.

I listen closely, ask the right questions, and bring structure to a part of business that often feels uncertain. Whether you need help with one step or the whole journey, my goal is always the same: a better hire, less stress, and a process that feels fair and human for everyone involved.

Before starting Accomplice, I worked in sales and supported people with intellectual disabilities. They were two very different roles that taught me the same lesson: people thrive when someone takes the time to understand them.

That’s shaped how I work with both clients and candidates, with care, clarity, and genuine curiosity about what they need to succeed.

As a mum of two, I also built this business to reflect my values. I wanted a career that allowed me to show up for my family, stay true to who I am, and do meaningful work that helps others grow.
